Echo and Attio. Your CRM in step with your marketing.
Keep Attio up to date with your marketing without doing it by hand. Every lead Echo collects becomes a people record in Attio, every reply to an Echo email lands as a note on that person, and your Attio deals come back to Echo, so you see which campaigns bring in pipeline, not just clicks.
Before you start
- An Echo workspace on a paid plan (Starter, Growth or Pro). Leads, email campaigns and replies are part of Growth and Pro; Attio deals show on every plan.
- You are the owner of the Echo workspace. Only the owner can connect or disconnect Attio.
- An Attio workspace where you can install apps.
Connect Attio
- In Echo, open Settings → Connections and find Attio.
- Click “Connect Attio”.
- Attio asks you to sign in and shows what Echo may do. Pick your Attio workspace and click to allow access.
- You're back in Echo, which says Attio is connected. Echo adds its three attributes to the people object and the first sync starts right away.
From Echo to Attio
- People records: every lead in Echo (from Echo's lead forms, email campaigns, a HubSpot import or added by your team) becomes a people record in Attio, matched by email address, so nobody is duplicated. When Echo knows the person's name, it's added; a name already in Attio is never cleared.
- Three text attributes on the people object, added by Echo when you connect: “Echo campaign” (the email campaign the person is in), “Echo status” (lead, sent, replied, unsubscribed …) and “Echo consent” (when and how the person agreed to get email).
- Notes: every reply to an Echo email is added as a note on the person, titled “Reply to an Echo email” with the subject. Automatic replies such as out-of-office messages are left out.
- Only leads that changed since the last sync are written again.
From Attio to Echo
- Deals created in the last 13 months: name, value, stage, and whether it's won or lost (from the stage's name, such as Attio's default “Won 🎉” and “Lost”).
- They show on Echo's Performance page under “Pipeline and revenue”. A deal whose associated person is an Echo lead counts as a deal from Echo leads, with that lead's campaign, so each campaign's pipeline shows next to its visits and leads.
Only when you ask
- Company visitors: “Add to Attio” on a company that visited your website finds the company in Attio by its domain (or creates it) and adds a note of its visits and the pages it read.
- Target accounts: adding accounts “From Attio” reads your Attio companies, so you can pick the ones Echo watches for buying signals.
- Playbooks: a step you add can create or update the person in Attio, or create an Attio task (for example “Answer Maya's reply”) linked to the person, with a due date.
When it syncs
Right after you connect, once a day, and whenever you click “Sync now” in Settings → Connections → Attio. The same place shows the Attio workspace, the last sync and how many people records and deals are linked.
Disconnect
- In Echo, open Settings → Connections → Attio and click “Disconnect”. Echo stops syncing, forgets the connection and deletes the Attio deals it imported.
- To remove Echo's access in Attio too, uninstall the app in Attio (Workspace settings → Apps). Uninstalling alone also stops Echo's access.
- Echo never deletes anything in Attio: the people records, attributes and notes it wrote stay there.

object_configuration:read-write- Add Echo's three text attributes to the people object, once, when you connect.
note:read-write- Add replies to Echo emails, and a company's website visits, as notes.
task:read-write- Create a task when a playbook has a “Create a CRM task” step for Attio.
user_management:read- Attio requires it to create tasks. Echo reads nothing else with it: it doesn't list, store or show your workspace members.
