Echo in Claude. Your marketing data in your own assistant.
Ask Claude about your AI visibility, your actions and your brand, and let it draft and plan with your own data. Echo is a remote MCP server: Claude reads your workspace as you, and every change it suggests comes back to Echo as a proposal you apply with one click. Nothing changes until you do.
Before you start
- An Echo workspace on any plan, including the free one, with at least one brand.
- A Claude account on any plan. Free allows one custom connector; on Team and Enterprise an owner adds Echo first in Organization settings → Connectors.
- Each person connects their own Claude: Echo reads as that person, with their workspace and brand membership. Nobody sees a workspace they aren't a member of.
Connect Claude
- In Claude, open Customize → Connectors. If Echo is in Claude's directory, open it there and click Connect; otherwise click “Add custom connector”, name it Echo and paste https://echo-aeo.com/mcp.
- Claude sends you to Echo. Sign in the way you always do (Google or an email magic link; Echo has no passwords).
- Pick the workspace Claude may read and click Allow. You're back in Claude, and Echo shows the connection in Settings → Connections → Claude and ChatGPT.
- Ask something: “What's our top action this week?”. Claude reads Echo before it answers; it never guesses a number.
What Claude reads
Everything a member sees in Echo for the brands they belong to, through the same checks Echo's own screens use. Long texts are cut at 4,000 characters, lists at 100 items, and email addresses are masked. Reading costs nothing on your AI budget.
- AI visibility
- visibility, share of voice, position and sentiment per assistant and over time; every prompt and its answers; topics; the sites and pages AI answers cite; FactCheck; the AI score
- Market
- competitors and their changes, hiring, events and ads; mentions on Reddit, review sites, Hacker News and Stack Overflow; audience research; SEO, keyword and domain lookups
- Website
- the sitemap with citations, visits, issues and the plan; AI crawler visits; the Echo tag; the tag audit, tracking settings and conversions sent; company visitors and target accounts with their signals
- Work
- actions with their evidence; campaigns, the calendar and its events; briefs and drafts; brand voice, audience segments and brand guidelines; page templates; brand assets, guests and file requests
- Grow
- customer stories; landing pages, designs and experiments with their numbers; PR and events items and contacts; lead forms, leads and email campaigns; LinkedIn posts; paid ads and ad results; playbooks and their runs; CRM deals; performance
- Workspace
- your brands and markets, the plan and its limits, this month's AI usage
What Claude can propose
Claude can prepare changes, but never make them. Each proposal arrives in Echo in a chat called “From Claude” in the Echo agent's panel, with a link Claude gives you. Open it, read what would change and click Apply, or Undo afterwards. Only you see your own proposals.
- Prompts and competitors to track, facts for FactCheck, pausing or resuming prompts, the brand's description and aliases.
- Campaigns: create or change one, link actions, drafts, briefs, stories or assets to it. Actions: status, owner and due date.
- Writing: an AI draft (page, blog post, FAQ, LinkedIn post, ad, email or press release), a landing page from an action or brief, one section of a landing page's copy, a Creative design, a PR pitch, partnership, event or community reply.
- Research and rules: audience research items with their sources, brand guideline updates, a playbook (saved switched off), a conversion test as a draft, an ad campaign as a draft the owner launches in Echo.
- People and files: a customer for a customer story, the “Ask the customer” questionnaire, a “Request files” link, workspace invites (the owner clicks Apply, which sends them), a member's role or manager.
What Claude can never do
The connector has no tool for any of these. They happen only when a person clicks in Echo.
- Delete anything: a prompt, an action, a campaign, a page, a file or a member.
- Publish a landing page or a LinkedIn post, or change a live page.
- Send an email, a questionnaire, an invite or a pitch, or post anywhere.
- Launch, resume or raise the budget of an ad campaign, or spend money.
- Change settings, connections, billing or anyone's access. Invite a guest to Brand assets.
- Read a workspace or brand the person isn't a member of, or read another person's proposals.
Limits and what Echo keeps
- 300 tool calls an hour per person. Keyword and domain lookups use the plan's monthly lookups, a draft counts as one of the plan's drafts, and filling a landing page uses the AI budget, exactly as in Echo.
- Echo keeps the app's name, the person, the workspace, and for each call the tool's name, whether it worked and the time (90 days). It never sees or stores your conversation with Claude.
- Sign-in uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. Access tokens last an hour, refresh tokens 60 days and work once; Echo stores only their hashes. Leaving the workspace ends the connection.
- Settings → Connections shows every connected app, who connected it, its last use and requests in 30 days.
Disconnect
- In Echo, open Settings → Connections → Claude and ChatGPT and click Disconnect next to the app. Claude's next request is refused. The workspace owner can disconnect anyone's app.
- In Claude, remove Echo under Customize → Connectors so it stops asking you to reconnect.
- Proposals that were already applied stay as they are; nothing is deleted when you disconnect.
The same in ChatGPT
The same server works as an app in ChatGPT (Plus and up, on the web): switch on Settings → Security and login → Developer mode, then create an app named Echo with the URL above and OAuth. Proposals from ChatGPT arrive in a chat called “From ChatGPT”.
Things to ask
Claude reads Echo first, then answers in your own numbers and words.
- “How visible are we in ChatGPT and Perplexity this month, and which prompts did we lose?”
- “Which sites do AI answers cite for our prompts where we aren't named? Which should we pitch?”
- “What's our top action this week, who owns it and what's the proof?”
- “Write a LinkedIn post about the new pricing page in our brand voice.”
- “Add three prompts our customers would ask about pricing, in the German market.”
- “Which pages of our website does nobody visit and no AI answer cites?”
