Partner terms
Last updated: 2 November 2026 (version 2026-11-02)
1. Who we are and what this is
Echo is provided by Benjamin Libor, Grünberger Straße 17, 10243 Berlin, Germany ("we"). See the imprint for full details. These terms apply to Echo's partner program: you recommend Echo to companies, and when they pay for Echo we share what they pay with you. You can reach us about the program at hello@echo-aeo.com. Echo's terms of service also apply when you use Echo itself.
2. Joining
You join on /partners by signing in and accepting these terms. You must be at least 18 and act as a business or a self-employed person, not as a consumer. One partner account per person. You're a partner as soon as you join; we may pause or end your account at any time if you don't follow these terms (section 11). Keep your sign-in to yourself: what happens in your partner account is your responsibility.
3. When a customer is yours
- A company is your customer when its workspace owner starts a paid plan (or a free trial that turns into one) within 90 days of first opening your partner link or an AI score report you shared, in the same browser. Echo remembers this with a cookie; if they block cookies or switch devices, tell us and we'll check it by hand.
- If two partners sent the same company, the first one counts.
- Companies that were already Echo customers, or had already started a trial, before your link or report don't count.
- Your own workspaces and those of people you sign up yourself, or anyone you pay or reward to sign up, don't count.
- If a customer reached us another way after your introduction, write to us; we may credit them to you by hand. Our records decide who a customer belongs to.
4. Your commission
- You earn 50% of what each of your customers actually pays us for Echo, without VAT or other taxes, refunds, chargebacks and credits, for the 12 months after their first payment. Upgrades, downgrades and yearly payments in those months count as they're paid.
- A commission is earned when the payment reaches us. If the payment is later refunded or reversed, the commission is lowered or cancelled, and if it was already paid out, we take it off your next payout.
- Commissions are in the currency the customer paid in (US dollars or euros). The partner app shows each one.
- While your account is paused, your existing customers keep earning you commission, but new ones don't count.
5. Payouts and taxes
- Each commission waits 30 days after the customer's payment, in case of a refund. After that it's ready, and at the start of each month we pay everything that's ready once it reaches $50 (or €50) in that currency, by bank transfer or PayPal to the details you give in the partner app.
- Keep your payout details correct. Money sent to details you gave counts as paid. We pay our own bank fees; fees your bank or PayPal charges you are yours.
- Commissions include any VAT that's due. You're responsible for your own taxes. We document each payout with a statement (a credit note) and may ask for your tax number or VAT ID before paying. If you're a business in another EU country, the reverse charge usually applies.
6. How you may promote Echo
You may recommend Echo to people and companies you know or work with, write about it, and share AI score reports you ran in the partner app. When you do:
- Say that you're an Echo partner and earn a commission when you recommend Echo in public or to people who don't know it (for example "affiliate" or "advertising").
- Only make claims Echo's own pages make. Don't promise results, rankings or prices that aren't on our website.
- Follow the law where you and the recipient are, especially on email: in many countries, Germany for example, you need consent before sending advertising emails to businesses.
You may not:
- bid on "Echo", "echo-aeo" or similar terms in search ads, or run ads that look like ours;
- send spam, use bought or scraped email lists, or contact people who asked not to be contacted;
- pretend to be Echo or speak for us, or offer discounts, cash or gifts for signing up unless we agreed in writing;
- put your link on coupon or cashback sites, hide it in pages, or set the cookie without the person choosing to open your link or report ("cookie stuffing");
- create fake accounts or sign-ups, or refer yourself.
Commissions from anything on this list don't count, and we may end your account (section 11).
7. Echo's name and materials
While you're a partner, you may use Echo's name, logo, screenshots and the texts in the sales kit to recommend Echo, unchanged and not in a way that suggests you are Echo. Stop using them when you stop being a partner.
8. Data
- The websites, names and email addresses you add as prospects are yours to be responsible for: you decide to add them, you need a lawful basis to use them, and you must tell people where you got their details if they ask. Add only business contact details.
- AI score reports you share can be opened by anyone with the link; they show the website's score and your company name, never your prospects' names or emails. Remove a prospect in the partner app when you no longer need it.
- We process your own data (your account, payout details, your customers and commissions) as our privacy policy describes. Your payout details are stored encrypted and only we can read them, to pay you.
- You see your customers' workspace names and plans, nothing more. Keep that to yourself.
9. Independent parties
You're an independent partner, not our employee or agent, and you can't make promises or sign anything in our name. If you also work for us under a separate agreement (in the partner app: "employee"), that agreement comes first; these terms then only cover your partner account.
10. Liability
We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence, we are only liable if we breach an essential obligation under these terms, and then only for the typical, foreseeable damage. You're liable for claims against us that arise from how you promoted Echo against these terms or the law.
11. Ending the partnership
- Either of us can end the partnership at any time by email, without giving a reason.
- After it ends, we still pay commissions on payments made before the end, after the usual hold. If we end it because you seriously broke section 6, commissions that came from that breach aren't paid.
- We may pause your account while we look into a possible breach. We'll tell you why.
- If we close the partner program, we'll tell you at least 30 days before and pay commissions on payments made until then.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We'll email you about changes at least 4 weeks before they take effect, and the partner app will ask you to accept the new version. If you don't accept, you can end the partnership; changes never reduce commission on payments made before they take effect.
13. Law and place of jurisdiction
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a merchant or a legal entity under public law, the place of jurisdiction is Berlin. If a provision of these terms is invalid, the rest stays in force.
