Marketing manager

  • Mid level
  • €45,000 base
  • Remote
  • Full time

Run Echo's own marketing on Echo: the website, LinkedIn and social, content, email, launches, and the numbers behind them.

About the role.

Echo is a marketing OS, and the most convincing proof that it works is our own marketing. Right now that's a founder with a product to build. We want a person who makes it their own.

As our marketing manager you run the website and its pages, our LinkedIn and other social channels, the content, the emails to leads, the launch of every new feature, the free AI score, and whatever else a software company does to get found and trusted: SEO, webinars, partner marketing, a bit of paid. You run all of it inside Echo, which makes you our most demanding user and our best demo.

It's a wide role for someone who likes to do the work, not just plan it.

What you'll do.

  • Keep the website sharp: pages, copy, the demo, the free AI score, and what AI assistants say about us
  • Run LinkedIn and our other social channels: a steady rhythm of posts people actually read, in Echo's voice
  • Write the content that brings leads in and the emails that keep them, and plan the launch of every new feature
  • Try the things software companies try: SEO, webinars, partner marketing, a small paid budget, and keep what works
  • Measure it in Echo: visits, leads, customers, and tell the team what moved every month
  • Be the first customer of every new feature, and say what's missing

What we look for.

  • Three or more years in marketing at a software company, hands-on across channels
  • You write well and quickly, and you hold a brand's voice across a website, a post and an email
  • You've run social channels that grew because of what you posted, not what you paid
  • You read numbers and change what you do because of them
  • You decide your own month and don't need a brief for every piece

Mid level: you've run marketing hands-on for a few years and have channels and pages to show for it. Tell us what you grew, and how.

What you get. A base, a performance part, and room to work your way.

€45,000 a year

The base salary, paid monthly.

A performance part

A performance part tied to the leads and customers marketing brings in, agreed with you before you start. The sales team's 30% is for the deals they close; your part follows what your work brings in.

Fully remote

Remote, within about three hours of Central European Time. No office, no offsites, no mandatory anything.

Your own show

You plan your own weeks and pick your own tools. We judge the outcome, not the hours.

How the pay works in full, and the questions people ask about it: the careers page.

The first months. How it tends to go.

  1. 01Weeks 1 and 2: learn Echo as a user, audit the website and every channel, read what AI assistants say about us
  2. 02Month 1: a posting rhythm that holds, the first emails out, the first fixes live on the website
  3. 03Month 3: more visits and leads than when you started, every new feature launched, and a plan for the quarter you wrote yourself

How we work here. In short.

Remote by design

There's no office to come to, and there won't be one. You work from wherever you do your best work, in the hours that suit the customers you're talking to. We hire people who like it that way.

You run your own show

Nobody hands you a calendar. You decide how to find customers, how to run your week and which tools to use, as long as it adds up to new customers. Think of it as running your own business inside ours, with the product, the brand and the leads already there.

Paid for outcomes

We'd rather pay you a lot for results than a little for attendance. The base salary is deliberately modest; the share of revenue isn't, and it has no cap. Someone who does well here earns two to three times their base.

Light on rituals

No offsites, no mandatory socials, no all-hands for the sake of it. A short written update, a call when a call helps, and colleagues who respect your work. If you make friends here, great; it's just not part of the job.

Read this before you apply

Show us channels you run.

We don't need a portfolio deck. The channels are the portfolio:

  1. 01Apply below, and in your message name one to three social channels or websites you're responsible for, with links. Your own count.
  2. 02We look at them the way a reader would: what you post, how often, what people do with it, how it has grown.
  3. 03If we like what we see, a 30-minute call about how you'd run Echo's marketing, then a decision.

If you'd rather be judged on your work than on your CV, this is for you.

Apply. A few lines are enough. Honest ones are better.

No CV upload, no cover letter. Your LinkedIn profile tells us where you've been; the box below tells us whether this is the right place for you.

What we'd like to read

  • How you match this level. Mid level: you've run marketing hands-on for a few years and have channels and pages to show for it. Tell us what you grew, and how.
  • How you'd work when nobody sets your week: how you'd organise yourself and decide what to do next.
  • One to three social channels or websites you're responsible for, with links. Your own count.

At least a few paragraphs, please.

We use what you send only to consider your application and to reply to you. See the privacy policy.
