Compare/HubSpot Marketing Hub

Echo vs HubSpot Marketing Hub. The system of record, or the system of what to do this week.

HubSpot Marketing Hub is the all-in-one most teams think of first: email, forms, automation, landing pages and reporting on top of the CRM, with an AEO add-on for AI visibility. Echo is a marketing OS built from the other end, from what AI, Google and your competitors say about you, towards the week's actions. They overlap in places and connect in others. This page sorts it out.

In short.

HubSpot is the CRM and marketing platform with the largest ecosystem: contacts, deals, email at scale, workflows, forms, landing pages, ads management, attribution reporting and thousands of integrations, with a free tier to start on. Its AEO add-on brings AI visibility into the same place, with recommendations tied to your content.

Pick HubSpot Marketing Hub if

  • You need a CRM and marketing automation for thousands of contacts as the system of record
  • Your sales team already lives in HubSpot and marketing should report in the same place
  • Email at scale, attribution and a big partner ecosystem matter more than AI visibility

Pick Echo if

  • You want to know what to change on your site and where to get mentioned, every week, with proof
  • You want AI visibility on five assistants, competitor watch, mentions and SEO, not an add-on with 25 prompts
  • You keep HubSpot as the CRM and want Echo to feed it leads, read its deals and plan the work

Where Echo goes further

HubSpot stores what happened. Echo decides what to do.

HubSpot is where contacts, deals and emails live. It's excellent at that and Echo doesn't try to replace it. Echo looks outward, at AI answers, Google, your competitors, Reddit and your own site, and comes back every Monday with the short list of what to change, build or get mentioned on.

  • Actions with proof, owner and due date, from what Echo measures
  • Competitor watch, mentions, FactCheck and the AI score
  • AI visibility on five assistants, every day

They connect, in both directions

Connect HubSpot once and Echo's lead forms create or update contacts there, its playbooks keep them current, company visitors and target accounts show the HubSpot deal, and the monthly report puts pipeline next to AI visibility and traffic.

  • Leads to HubSpot with their consent and source
  • Deals read into campaigns and the report
  • Attio works the same way if that's your CRM

Lighter where HubSpot is heavy, and the other way round

Echo's email is for opted-in leads from your own subdomain, with plan limits, not for a list of a hundred thousand. Its landing pages are built from sections in your brand's look and hosted on your subdomain, not a full CMS. In return it has the AI visibility, the competitors, the SEO and the actions HubSpot's add-on only touches.

  • Landing pages and creative checked against your brand guidelines
  • Email campaigns and playbooks on Growth and Pro
  • One price for the workspace, no onboarding fee, 14 days free

Questions, answered.

Do I have to choose between HubSpot and Echo?

No. The usual setup is HubSpot as the CRM and system of record and Echo as the place the marketing week is planned and proved. Echo connects to HubSpot for leads, contacts and deals. Where they overlap (forms, landing pages, email), pick one per job.

Is HubSpot's AEO add-on enough for AI visibility?

It's a start: on 6 October 2026 it tracked 25 prompts a day on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity for $50 a month, in beta. Echo asks up to 50 prompts per market on five assistants, keeps every answer and its citations, watches competitors and mentions, and turns the gaps into actions.

Can Echo replace HubSpot for a very small team?

If you don't need a CRM yet, perhaps: Echo has lead forms, email campaigns to opted-in leads, playbooks, landing pages, company visitors and target accounts. Once you have a sales team and thousands of contacts, you'll want a CRM, and Echo will connect to it.

How do the prices compare?

HubSpot Marketing Hub Professional is $800 a month plus a $3,000 onboarding fee, for 3 seats and 2,000 marketing contacts, with the AEO add-on at $50. Echo Starter is $799 a month for one brand and 2 members with no onboarding fee, and Growth $1,499 for three brands and 5 members with email campaigns. Different products; the overlap is smaller than the prices suggest.

Does Echo work with Attio instead of HubSpot?

Yes. Attio is a connection like HubSpot: leads, contacts and deals sync the same way.
