Google Analytics and Search Console

Connecting Google gives Echo visits, visits from AI assistants, key events and search clicks. It's read-only: Echo never changes anything in your Google accounts.

There are two ways to connect: sign in with Google, or add Echo by email. Use the second when you don't want to sign in with your own Google account, for example in a workspace set up for a client.

Connect with Google sign-in

  1. Go to Settings → Connections → Google, or click Connect Google Analytics on the Results page.
  2. Sign in with the Google account that can see your Analytics property and Search Console site, and allow read-only access.
  3. Pick the Google Analytics 4 property and the Search Console site for this brand.
  4. Click Start importing.

The first import reads the last 16 months in the background. After that Echo re-reads the last 3 weeks every day.

Each brand connects its own property and site.

Or add Echo by email

  1. In Settings → Connections → Google, choose Add Echo by email and copy the email Echo shows. It belongs to your workspace only.
  2. In Google Analytics, open Admin → Property access management, click +, then Add users. Paste the email, pick Viewer and leave "Notify new users by email" off.
  3. In Search Console, open Settings → Users and permissions → Add user. Paste the email and pick Restricted.
  4. Back in Echo, click Check again and pick the property and site. Echo only sees what you shared with that email.

Search Console also powers Found by search.

Where it shows

  • Results: visits from AI assistants, leads and revenue
  • Website → Health → Performance: visits, sources, landing pages and searches that bring visits
  • each action's and project's before and after
  • the monthly AEO report
  • Website → Health → SEO with real clicks from Search Console

Without Google Analytics

Use the Echo tag instead. With both, Echo never adds them up: each week takes one source.

Disconnect

Disconnect under Settings → Connections → Google revokes Echo's access and deletes what it imported. If the connection stops working, Results shows Connect again.
