Slack and task tools

Actions reach the people who do them, where they already work.

Slack

  1. In Slack, create an incoming webhook for the channel you want (Slack's Incoming Webhooks app) and copy its address.
  2. In Echo, go to Settings → Notifications → Slack and paste it.
  3. Choose what to post: new high-impact actions, wrong facts and the Monday summary.

Each post links to the action in Echo. There's one webhook per brand.

Copy as task

On an action or a project, Copy as task copies it as Markdown (for Linear, Jira and GitHub) or plain text (for Asana, Trello and email): the title, what to do, why, impact, effort, the evidence and a link back to Echo.

Email to…

Email to… sends the action to a teammate or to any address, such as your task tool's email-in address. Jira, Asana, Linear and Trello all turn such an email into a task. Replies go to you.

Assignment emails

Assigning an action to a teammate emails them right away. They can turn it off under Settings → Notifications.

Automations and webhooks

For anything else, Settings → Automations runs playbooks on Echo events, and the API and webhooks connect Echo to Zapier, n8n and your own tools.
