Set up your first brand

Setting up a brand takes about two minutes. Echo researches your website and drafts everything; you review it and start tracking.

1. Sign up

Click Start for free on echo-aeo.com and sign up with Google or with a link sent to your email. There are no passwords. A new account needs your work email (name@yourcompany.com); personal inboxes such as Gmail or Outlook can't create one.

If a teammate invited you, open the invite email and click Join instead: you'll land in their workspace.

2. Tell Echo about your brand

Onboarding has five steps. Echo starts drafting after the first one and fills in the rest while you answer:

  1. Your brand: your website, your brand's name and your main market. A market is a country plus a language, for example "Germany · German".
  2. About you: what you want from Echo and how you heard about it.
  3. Describe your business: what you do, what sets you apart, your industry, who searches for you and other names people use.
  4. Competitors: check the ones Echo suggests, or type a website (several with commas) and press Enter.
  5. Prompts: about 20 questions grouped by topic. Add your own or import them from Peec or Profound.

Edit anything. Good prompts mix questions like "how do I…", "X vs Y" and "best … for …", and include at most a couple that name your brand: unbranded prompts show whether AI helps new people discover you.

3. Look around, then pick a plan

Save the brand and Echo runs a first, small check: 10 of your prompts on ChatGPT, plus your website's AI score. You get 5 minutes to look around the app with those results. Then pick a plan to continue; every plan starts with a 14-day trial (see Plans and billing).

With a plan, Echo runs all your prompts on every assistant your plan includes.

What happens next

  • Every day (or every week, depending on the market) Echo asks your prompts again, so trends build up.
  • Every Monday you get actions and a weekly email.
  • Every Sunday Echo reads your competitors' sites, checks citation gaps and runs agents.

Your first week

  1. Add your facts under Brand → Facts (prices, plans, founding year). FactCheck then shows where AI gets them wrong. Optional, but it's one of the most useful steps.
  2. Add the Echo tag or connect Google Analytics so Echo can count visits from AI assistants. Optional.
  3. Set up AI crawler tracking to see which AI bots read your site. Optional.
  4. Invite your team under Settings → Members and assign the first actions. Optional.
